Academic mentoring is an integral part of the tutorial system and academic mentoring sessions are an opportunity for conversation between a mentor and student related to learning, progress and welfare.

શૈક્ષણિક માર્ગદર્શન વિદ્યાર્થીઓની પ્રગતિ પર નજર રાખવાની નૈતિકતામાં વધારો કરે છે જેથી એ સુનિશ્ચિત કરી શકાય કે દરેક વિદ્યાર્થી જાણે છે કે તેઓ તેમના શિક્ષણ સાથે ક્યાં છે, તેમણે ક્યાં પ્રગતિ કરી છે, તેમને સુધારવા માટે શું કરવાની જરૂર છે અને તેમની પ્રગતિને આગળ વધારવા માટે તેમણે કયા લક્ષ્યો નક્કી કરવાની જરૂર છે.

• વિદ્યાર્થીઓ મૂલ્યવાન લાગે અને જાણે કે કોઈક એવી વ્યક્તિ ઉપલબ્ધ છે કે જેની ભૂમિકા તેમને સારી રીતે જાણવાની છે, તેમને પ્રોત્સાહિત કરવા, દબાવવા અને તેમના શિક્ષણમાં સહાય કરવા માટે જરૂરી હોય તે રીતે પ્રશંસા કરવાની છે.
• To help students develop ambition, motivation and staying power, and to make informed decisions about their subject or career options
• દરેક વિદ્યાર્થીને વ્યક્તિગત મદદ, ટેકો અને માર્ગદર્શન મળે તે સુનિશ્ચિત કરવું.
• બેઝલાઇન પરીક્ષણ અને ટ્રેકિંગ દ્વારા પ્રદાન કરવામાં આવેલી માહિતીનો ઉપયોગ કરવામાં વ્યક્તિગત વિદ્યાર્થીઓને સહાય કરવા માટે.
